Bandits Outlaw Sprint Series
‘BOTTLE ROCKET’ WIRES THE FIELD AT KENNEDALE SPEEDWAY PARK
Back-to-back winner, Michael Day, has officially put his fellow Bandits on notice, by establishing himself as the driver to beat, early in the 2022 campaign!
Day squeezed by Austin Saunders, in his heat race, to maximize his qualifying points, earning the pole position for Saturday’s 25 lap A-Feature. Michael lead all 25 laps to earn his second win of the season. But it wasn’t easy! Chase Brewer stalked Day’s 91 car throughout the feature and almost stole the win, getting next to Day, off turn 4, coming to the checkered flag!
Austin Mundie stormed from 10th to 3rd, earning the Texas Racing Specialties sponsored HARD CHARGER award, adding to the drama in the closing stages of the race. Chad Wilson and Dalton Stevens rounded out the top 5.
150 race teams, including 29 BOSS sprint cars, and an abundance of sun, greeted fans on Saturday. A special thank you to everyone who supported the show!
Next up, the BOSS series heads to Heart O’ Texas Speedway on 4/8, I-30 Speedway on 4/16, and then on to Texarkana 67 Speedway for a two-day special, on 5/6-5/7. Mark your calendars; make plans to join us!
